The Department of Audiology aims to educate individuals who are committed to lifelong learning and possess a high level of social health awareness, with the goal of preventing, identifying, and rehabilitating hearing loss in infants, children, and adults; protecting hearing health; and identifying and rehabilitating balance- and dizziness-related disorders.
An audiologist is a person who is entitled to practice the profession by completing at least a four-year Audiology education program at a relevant faculty of health sciences and obtaining the title of “Audiologist” with an “Audiology Diploma.”
The undergraduate Audiology program provides education and training on the accurate management of hearing and/or balance-related problems by offering students high-standard knowledge, clinical services, and research opportunities.
Undergraduate education in the Department of Audiology is offered full-time over four years. The language of instruction is Turkish. Courses are conducted through both theoretical and practical components. Students are required to complete field and institutional internships related to their areas of study and to prepare reports, seminars, educational and research projects, as well as deliver oral presentations.
To graduate from the Department of Audiology, students must complete a minimum of 240 ECTS credits.
